Detoxification from illegal drugs

To the contacts

The "Motivating Withdrawal Ward" of the Havelhöhe Community Hospital offers comprehensively medically supervised withdrawal. Withdrawal is carried out within the framework of a therapeutic community, which has space for 10 patients.

The Ward team consists of nurses, social workers, art therapists, doctors (general medicine, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, psychiatry and psychotherapy, addiction medicine care specialists) and psychological psychotherapists. We withdraw from all illicit drugs and treat predominantly patients addicted to multiple drugs. In principle, abstinence is the goal. The basic idea of motivational withdrawal treatment goes beyond the goal of merely physically withdrawing insofar as it is our concern to reach out to and support drug-dependent patients with their individual problems, even at this unstable and often fear-inducing first phase.

With the help of therapeutic support, our patients have the opportunity to take further necessary steps towards therapy or the development of alternative, drug-free life approaches.
