Anthroposophic Therapies
Integrative Therapies
Humans can fall ill and recover.
Disease-related therapy must be supplemented
by supporting the healing forces.
according to Rudolf Steiner.
At the Havelhöhe Community Hospital we use integrative therapies from anthroposophic medicine in addition to all of the diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of modern medicine. The aim is not only to fight the disease with medical means, but to strengthen body and soul in such a way that the patients can contribute to their recovery by their own efforts. In concrete terms, this means not only treating the symptoms of the disease, but also activating the powers of self-regulation, supporting the immune system and awakening physical and psychological resources.
The effectiveness of an integrative, salutogenic approach is now also scientifically proven in numerous studies. For example, the research field of psycho-neuroimmunology can demonstrate on a physiological level how the immune system and central nervous system mutually influence each other and how immunological and regulatory healing processes take place. The importance of exercise training and therapy for many diseases is well researched. For example, positive effects are seen in metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, cancer, geriatrics and mental illnesses, such as depression. The effect of art-based therapies has also been well documented in studies, for example for various cancers, pain syndromes, mental disorders or in geriatrics.
At the Havelhöhe Community Hospital, we rely on a multi-modal approach that our doctors and therapists tailor to the individual needs of each patient. Physical, physiological, mental and spiritual support go hand in hand with our therapies and strengthen the whole person. We offer the following integrative therapies at the Havelhöhe Community Hospital:
- Anthroposophic massages
- Breathing therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Eurythmy therapy
- Hyperthermia (in cooperation with the Hyperthermia Clinic at the MVZ)
- Painting therapy and modelling / sculpting

Our patients also benefit from anthroposophic medicines and anthroposophic care therapies. We also support lifestyle changes, which are helpful for many diseases, through nutritional counselling, exercise training and mindfulness and relaxation programmes.
